Because I know nothing about Ava khanis and little about Israeli law
And yet you were so quick to throw that sweeping fatwa against all religions.
As always, you just proved that usually atheists are as much of the fatwa-throwers as the mullahs they despise.
Aga Khanis are from Ismaili sect of Islam. They get ther laws from Aga Khan, their spiritual Imam, whose words are considered to be approved by God. In other words, what he says is God's will. He can interpret religious law according to the needs of times. This way their sect remains dynamic.
Thus all Ismailis following him follow the perfect religious laws.
bigboi, i have no idea what your post is about. you say i am wrong, but you haven't provided a single example of a society that exists today and runs on religious law. are you sure you meant to post that stuff on this thread? -___-
The question was “How is it defined for you?” Morality, that is.
You may not be talking about Religion in this discussion; however, many people take values of morality from religion. You’re ought to get replies based on religious doctrine.
As psyah mentioned, morality are set of values based on religious beliefs but it could be any set of values other than religion such as polictial. So, you will bound to see people not taking religion in this debate when defining morality.
Bottom line, religion will be discussed when you will discuss morality whether one likes it or not. Same goes for other set of values when one likes it or not.
I think the concept of morality is present in all of us to an extent. Many people have committed vile acts in the name of religion. All atheists are not immoral people just cos they don't believe in God or religions.
Prof Marc Bekoff, an ecologist at University of Colorado, Boulder, believes that morals are "hard-wired" into the brains of all mammals and provide the "social glue" that allow often aggressive and competitive animals to live together in groups. He has compiled evidence from around the world that shows how different species of animals appear to have an innate sense of fairness, display empathy and help other animals that are in distress.
And yet you were so quick to throw that sweeping fatwa against all religions.
As always, you just proved that usually atheists are as much of the fatwa-throwers as the mullahs they despise.

You seem to love using fatwa at the drop of the hat. You are probably referring to a different thread. For the record I respect all faiths.
I still don't understand what your response has to do with my question. Have a nice day!
