man I was so surprised to see actors like Abid Ali doing the role of a Hijra...seems like Pakistani writers are getting more and more creative and senior actors are not afraid to do such roles :)

Abid Ali's acting as a transvestite is way below par. He is doing a poor job of it. Too many inhibitions are causing him to sound just like the real Abid Ali. This character truly tests an actor's versatitlity and Abid has disappointed me a lot.
^ Abid Ali is not portraying a Transvestite....He is playing a Transsexual(Hijra in Urdu)....Transvestites are males who get sexual gratitude by wearing female clothings in the public(They are not feminish & most are not gays)....Transsexuals are males(or females)that act ,live & think like females/opposite sex(A female in a male body or a male in a female body....Male to Female Transsexuals/Female to Male Transsexuals)...
This is an excellent drama. I only started watching it recently. I cannot believe Maria Wasti was tricked into marrying him. tsk, tsk, tsk … I missed the last episode. What happened?
I also think Abid Ali’s acting is fantastic. I think he’s playing the role really well … his facial expressions, hand gestures, etc. :k:

I was talking about Kashif Mehmood. His acting is really good and he has married Maria Wasti in the drama.
I think the canvas of this play revolves around the real and living souls,
Abid Ali and company are doing a fine job of it too.
The playwrite and the character portraits are quite defficult and un-tried
so it may seem a bit mediocre and flawed but easily forgiven due to its
complexity. Maria Wasti is proving again to be very versatile in her acting. Morrat is truely a great serial - Shamelessly down to earth
I think its quite unique and desrves a ‘Bravo’ to Pakistan’s Fine art heroes.

Abid Ali's voice is way too husky for the part - by casting him, I think they were just trying to sensationalize the drama.
By the same token, he's never played such a bold role before.
I really love Maria Wasti. All of her acting in all of the dramas I have seen her in has been top notch. She's so likeable yet is able to play the role of a cow so well.
