Moorat second time around

They just finished Moorat on ARY today, and I totally loved this drama. I didn’t have dish network back when they first aired it in 2004, and unfortunately I missed several of the first episodes. So could someone fill me in on the following? (I looked at previous threads on Moorat, but some questions are still lingering).

  1. How come Babar used to hang around with khusray in his childhood? Didn’t his parents and brother stop him?

  2. Who initiated the marriage between Kausar and Babar?

  3. Was that Kausar’s mother or stepmother? And where is her dad and real mother? What about any siblings? Didn’t anyone in the mohalla know that Babar was a hijra and try to stop the marriage from happening?

  4. How was Kausar tricked into the marriage? And how on earth did Babar agree? Was he “normal” in the first few weeks of the marriage that he got her pregnant? And how did Kausar find out he was a full-fledged hijra?

  5. Is Sakina (Asim’s wife) related to the family? Was it a love marriage between them two? And why does she hate Asim’s family so much?

I know it’s been a while since many of you have seen it, but I hope someone can answer my questions!

let's see if I remember some of the info.

Babar's father used to beat him up when he would visit Abid Ali's house. His mother was always taking Babar's side and saying he's just a kid leave him alone.
That was Maria Wasti's evil stepmother. Wanted to get rid of her so knowingly married her to Babar even though the stepmom knew that Babar was really Babs.

I think that's all I remember from what I watched...

Because that was the only place where he could get some love. His dad and his older bro beat him for no reason, and reshma was the only one with whom he felt comfortable. his mom liked reshma, and also said that he is a kid, and there is nothing wrong with hanging around with "her"

Babar's parents. They thought that if Babar got married, then he might be cured of his cross-dressing. kausar ghar ki larki thi, to baat ghar main hi rahay gi. (babar's dad is kausar's chacha). Also, they wanted to take kausar away from her abusive stepmother.

that was her step mom. her mom died when she was really young. and her dad used to work in the middle east. he came back for a visit to paksitan, and on his way back, his plane blew up. and no other siblings. as for the hijra part, my assumption is that since babr spent all his time at reshma's, the muhalla wala didn't really know about him. and also, if they did, they didn't want to interfere.

kausar found out that he was a hijra on the suhaag raat. he went something like...haww, itna acha set. main bhi aisa hi **"chahti thi". **so kausar flipped her ghoongat and found out. babar was really excited about his marriage. it was for him an occasion to see all the jewellery, get made some for him as well, and well...all the hijra stuff. though he "cleaned" up for his marriage. not too sure about the normal part and the pregnancy. missed those episodes, and wonder about that as well.

nope she's not related to asim. and it is a love marriage. the only reason she married him is if babar would leave the house or something. she doesn't like the family because its the hijra-prejudice. so that hatred towards babar kinda engulfed the whole family. besides, she was a self-serving woman, and her mother was egging her on too, to harap the family fortune.

Had been watching the drama really eagerly. honestly, the only normal, and good drama i have seen lately from any of the pakistani channels.
