umm never really saw any bride wearing.. the fabric itself looks like thin glittery velvet though

^ yup. its got great drape! its thinner than velvet- more like a heavy satin but without the sheen and its kind of sheer but not really. hrm. i'm totally not explaining this well.
features of moonlight:
heavy fabric, great fall/drape, shimmery but with a subtle shimmer, i remember having a kameez made with black moonlight fabric and it didn't need a shameez under it. i made it with a velvet churidar. the two fabrics go very well together. kameezes fit very well because it falls so well.

Never seen anything formal in it. I thought it was more like a jersey (but with the sparkly weave).

Yes it's heavy. Besides in my opinion, the beauty of kaam which one intends to put on it will kinda get subdued because of the fabric. You can get shrugs made out of it though.

I feel like Rani Emaan uses it in some of their outfits but that's just from the photos.

^ I think that's the beauty of the fabric, I mean it would look really hideous if it wasn't fitted well.

I don't quite like the fabric to be honest, but sometimes it does stand out specially in gowns & long dresses.

I used to have a light green (like pista) moonlight (or as my mom says, "moonlait" lol) kaam suit. It was really pretty. . Wonder what happened to it?? hmmm...
