I think its more related to the fact that if your tired or not in the mood to cook and are doing it because you have to, its harder to put effort into it. If your in the mood, and are happy to do it, you will take your time, bhunno alot, and be careful precise when your cooking, and you wont be rushing either. Best thing to do is the days you don’t want to cook to make something fast that requires little to no effort. Like pasta with sauce, or daal with rice.
I think emotions do play a role in how your food turns out. If you are happy or remotely happy, you prep and cook enjoying the process and tasting it as you go along and pefecting it to your liking but if you just aren’t in the mood, you throw things together and hope it is edible. I for one do taste it so much that I am almost not hungry when it’s done but I am not the best chef so cooking is almost stress inducing for me. I live with my inlaws and my mil is an amazing cook and my fil is used to her cooking so I do my best but I dread cooking for them.
