my boss told me, “Irem, out of the many employees in the office, YOU, are one of the very few and rare ones, only one out of the two three among the entire staff, who’s completely dedicated to her job, very hard working. I always see you working hard at your desk while the others are busy talking among themselves. You don’t let distractions bother you. You are an example.”

I was thinking YIKES :eek: gulp HARDOWORKING? DEDICATED? ME??!?!?!?! eek

I felt just too guilty. I was like, actually X, the thing is, thank you very much but I feel guilty for accepting this lavish praise and I honestly don’t deserve the credit, because when I AM at my desk, it doesn’t mean I’m working the whole time, I am on MSN and surfing alot of the time, I just make sure I get my work done by the deadline that my manager assigns me.

My manager was like, oh ofcourse everybody does that but still…

but after that I felt so guilty :eek: SHOOT :eek:

yeesh! talk about taking a compliment badly. next time he says something about your performance, just compliment his tie, and walk out with the big bonus he was about to hand you :bummer:

lol oh God Irem, hearing about your office matters scares me so much. Ill be one of those people on constant coffee breaks and chattering away :eek:

waise i guess my manager is too happy for my own conveience :smack: i wanted to transfer to another department but they wont let me :eek:
