Montreal

What to do? What to see for 1-2 days.

Any kid friendly recommended stuff?

Good Desi Restaurants?

Re: Montreal

Are you guys driving there? Hmm we went in January but I would definitely recommend you to visit the Biodome as part of your trip. I dunno about desi but there were several Halal oferings. I think either Namkeen or Ruiner gave me valuable advice.... I had opened a thread back then.

Re: Montreal

  • Biodome
  • Old port (Old Montreal)
  • Down town: Ste-Catherine Street, Crescent Street, Notre Dame, Saint Laurent Blvd, Sherbrooke Street, Saint Denis Street
  • There are TONS of reallllly good art galleries & museums (Eg: Montreal museum of Fine Arts)
  • Mont Royal (hill-top)
  • Montreal Botanical Gardens
  • Churches (Montreal has some of the most beautiful churches in the world!)
  • Jean Talon market (Saint Hubert Street)

Re: Montreal

Any of them any good? I want tried and tested.

Re: Montreal

Didnt realize you only wanted desi, I had posted other types as well [Turkish, Persian, Chinese, Lebanease etc]. Ya they are good. The few on there that I have been to myself, I have heard good reviews about so included them too

There are lots more, will try to post them later. Are you looking for something in a particular area or does it not matter

I think it was Jean Talon area that had several halal places, we ended up eating at a halal restaurant at the Place dArmes train station…al baik i think, not bad. We used the public transportation, but since your driving and also going in better weather I am sure it’s much nicer.
