Monsoon .. changes in wind direction.

For Zaavia.. who needs a few lessons in meteorology…

The changes in wind direction…

Between October and May, when the cool-dry North-East Monsoon winds blow towards India, they do not bring much rain as these wind blow over land carrying little or no moisture with them. Crops cannot be planted at this time as there will not be enough rainfall for growth.

By June, there is a change in the direction of the winds. Wind begin to blow into this region as the South-West Monsoon. Since these wind blow over the oceans, they carry a lot of moisture. Thus, they bring with them the rain that marks the wet season. Grasses and leaves grow almost immediately.
