I heard that MSG is haram also saw in the website. In Maggi simple noodles MSG is present and also in so many things so is it haram or not.

I dont know about haraam but its certainly not good for you. most places i frequent dont use it.

most msg's are derived from enzymes that come from pork but there are halal alternatives available, it will say so on the label. But spock is right, almost all chinese restaurants openly display the 'no msg' sign now, because its been proven to be toxic and carsinogic. a while back, in Pakistan, Shan masalas were taken off shelf because it had very high quantities of msg, it was fixed.
