Re: --Money Transfer Services?
Not using Western Union anymore. I once sent $100 to my cousin and when she went to get it, it was gone and the people in Western Union office in Lahore claimed that she had already taken it. I then called the Western Union office here and they did taal-matol for a month or 2 before they called me back (after investigating the matter) and said nothing can be done about it. That was the last time I used Western Union. Now I only use Money Gram. So far so good!!
Use Money Gram. You send the money from here and your relatives can pick it up after like 20 minutes (literally). Money Gram has a list of offices (in like every city) from where you can pick the money. I can give you the list if you need. For $500 and under, they only charge you $10.
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
Visit www.ubl.com.pk and go to UBL’s CLICK-N-REMIT site…just sitting at home—by visiting the website you can manage and transfer funds by even opening your account whether in US Dollars or Pak Currency or P.Stg…at any branch of the Bank in Pakistan.

Re: --Money Transfer Services?
I heard for Pak, UBL is good as RJ said. Their commercial on Geo/ARY is hillarious, feel like hitting those buffoons on head.
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
What about paying with Paypal. Let say I have to send some money to my friend/relative in States, can I pay with Paypal? Is there any service fee? I did it last week as an experiment, and it go through.
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
The best way I have found to date is using CitiBank. Have your folks back home open a Citibank account while you have one here in the U.S. You can make online money transfers from a US CitiBank Account to a Paki CityBank Account for only $20 dollars. Alternatively you can use ATM machines to do the same for $10 dollars and I don't think that there is a limit on the amount.
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
Citibank ..I havent seen their branches here in Texas..![]()
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
Thats the issue. They do have many in Houston but only a few in dallas. The closest ones to me are in plano and coppel.
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
***The answer to PAYPAL in Pakistan is UBL’s ORION. ***
Check it out on www.ubl.com.pk
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
UNITED BANK LIMITED is Pakistan's 2nd largest bank with a huge network of ONLINE branches in Pakistan and a large network of overseas branches. We have a branch in New York since 1977.
I am pretty perturbed to learn from this thread that our overseas Pakistanis are facing issues and problems in smooth transactions of their home remittances. Like the other, UBL too has evolved many products in this regard.. and the most sought after one being CLICK n REMIT.
Only recently-- UBL switched from MONEYGRAM to WESTERN UNION on public feedback.
If you all are still having problems here--please write to me on [EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected] I'll try resolving your plight by forwarding your suggestions to our concerned Division.

Thank You
I was going to try that but their rate is less then what zarco gives..and for bigger amounts that just makes a difference.I think Zarco gives like 60.95 with a $3 but this one gives the rate that western union charge.Im going to look at it in detail.I dont have a UBL account I think...maybe in Pakistan I have one:)
Re: --Money Transfer Services?
You are stuck with a limit of $7500 with UBL. Also, $50 is a lot to do a transfer to a dollar account in pakistan.
