Re: Money can't buy happiness
money defintly buys you happiness. people who say money isn't everything are the ones who dont have any (sour grapes)
Actually, the ones who have money can tell you that it doesn't bring happiness, where the people who don't have much money fantasize about money making their life better and bringing them "happiness".
Re: Money can't buy happiness

Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game of life ...
Donald Trump
“If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can't buy”
Re: Money can't buy happiness
Money can buy you a bag full of fake emotions which dried away as soon as you are not wealthy, whereas you yourself know that all the glamor is due to money, which is temporary.
Money cant buy you true emotions, you may have friends but with fake friendship, you may have love but its also would be fake. people may respect you because you have money, such respect is also fake.
Human life is nothing without emotions. Try to live a year alone having money but without your parents, your siblings, then just assume you are poor and go meet your parents and siblings. You will know the value of life of happiness and life with money.
There is only one fact. Money "can" pave you the way to happiness but thinking that all that you have is due to money with take away the colors of your life.
Re: Money can't buy happiness
why is having money and having true happiness or real friends considered mutually exclusive?
Re: Money can't buy happiness
Money can only buy you one night love, so hence money = not happiness.
Love of Mother, Father for their son/daughter can't bought by money.
Re: Money can't buy happiness
this is assuming that if you have money your parents hate you :)

They are not mutually exclusive.
We stumble when we assume money as a precondition to happiness or lack of it as a cause of unhappiness.
Re: Money can't buy happiness
Staying happy is not really that difficult . You can be carefree and careless , and you can still be happy . Money is just a part of it . But getting satisfaction is hard , and not even money can buy it .

“If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can't buy”
Nice quote.
One can atttach successfully both money and happiness, but they are really independant of each other.
I am sure some of us have seen unhappiness which comes along with money as well. If you have not, then you might not be so observant.
Re: Money can't buy happiness
Money can buy happiness only that most of us can not afford the price....
Re: Money can't buy happiness
the title is like saying money can't buy grief
you can't buy emotions anyways.

Yes, absolutely, money even (inadvertently) CAN buy grief.
Cf: my above post.
It is a wrong concept or attitude to always attach money with happiness.
Money/wealth could even act like a shining glittering, burning piece of coal which Musa AS placed on his tongue in childhood.
