Money and Class

Why do some people think that class can be achieved only with money, and hence poor people have no real class?

Re: Money and Class

because mroe money means you're more aesthetically pleasing. :)

Re: Money and Class

like that dude Hugh Hefner? lol

Re: Money and Class

It's the other way round, money can never bring you class. That's why so often we get to see cheap display of wealth from the naudaulatiye people in comparison of the sophistication which the jaddi pushti ameer people display

Re: Money and Class

I think you guys are taking what Jolie said out of context.

Re: Money and Class

Jolie probably didn't realize what she was saying but I've seen this in so many people so many times.

Re: Money and Class

Then what do you think she meant?

Re: Money and Class

I'll move this thread. I think it's more suitable for AV.

Re: Money and Class

I think taste defines class more ratyer than money. Only money kind of makes buying and looking for classy things easier.:D

Re: Money and Class

I think that is the fruit of capitalism. In the real world, the world of spirit, there is no status, no class ka chakkar. The person with the biggest Heart is the one most high and exhalted in status. When our Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him, his family, and his noble companions), Rehmat ul lil Aalameen, sarkar e do alalm, kings of the kings, the beloved of God can wear clothes with patches upon patches, and worn-out shoes, why cant we wear it.

There is nothing wrong in wanting to get stable, and wanting to get affluent ... one has to get extremely humble and charitable by the same measure. When God give you access to the river of wealth, prove God that you are the right person to be given that task, that blessing. Become Hatim tai of your time.

Re: Money and Class

class is in how you carry yourself, how/what you speak, your demeanor, your compassion, etc.
it has nothing to do with your money, status, how you look or what you wear.....

Re: Money and Class

It's just like having a proper education doesn't mean you're not jahil.

So having money doesn't necessarily mean you have class.

Re: Money and Class

you can buy education but ya can't buy class

Re: Money and Class

exactly even if I bag a designer dress with a hefty price tag...if I don't have the manners to talk, be courteous etc..the entire dressing up would be worthless

Re: Money and Class

The first thing you notice is the exterior, so maybe the concept of morals and ethics has been swept under the rug, and that those of high class are meant to flaunt wealth.
