I think there is nothing wrong in giving up the e-ID. They can always keep a personal id and a fan id. These celebraties become celabraties because of the so-called dumb people. So it won't harm them if they get e-mails like "I am your biggest fan or my mama or baba is.." maybe once in a while they can reply to their fans by thanking them and asking them to keep them in their prayers.
