Is it me or I never knew Mona Lisa doesn’t have eyebrows? 
Thats why she is so manly looking.

Yeah, Mona Lisa looks really masculine. If I remember correctly, Dan Brown claims in his book that Mona Lisa was a man. Wow, I need to read it again too.

I think it was Leonardo's homophobic tendencies coming in to the whole Mona Lisa Painting, since the church literally burned anything which was against the Bible and God's law, homosexuals and lesbians or anything against the norm of the society was strictly forbidden hence artists had to use subtle hints to express their opinions. I think Leonardo might be doing the same with a manly looking Mona Lisa :D or then again she might have just looked really manly in real? Who knows? :)
