MOMs once again "BIRTHPLAN".

Re: MOMs once again "BIRTHPLAN".

Hey listen...about epidurals. I am abnormally terrified of needles but just the thought of someone sticking a large gauge needle in my spinal column gives me hives. I went thru 3 births, 2 of them with pitocin (which makes labor pains WAY more intense) and I got thru it. I had a half-dose of Nubain with the 2 pitocin births. Nubain is as safe as demerol but doesnt make you feel sick like demerol does. It was only a half-dose cause you get half in the IV line and half in an injection in your hip...I refused the hip stick. Needles are worse than birth pains lol!

These birth plans really go flying right out the window...I worked on one with my first. He was born 20 minutes after we arrived at the hospital. Since hospitals are so eager to stick needles in your spine, I really waited too long out of fear. So the birth plan turned into "hey, here he comes, catch!!"
