Moms & Maids

Re: Moms & Maids

Yeh. I worked and left my then 18 qmonth old with my pàrents. But did i not know his daily routine? Of course i did and i knew what he ate and if he ate less i made surw i took care of that the rest of the evening.
I also knew what he did whole day. And my evenings were spent strictly with him and taking care of him. I think i have him more time on those workday evenings compared to the time i would have given him had i been home.

It was tough but manageable. Nothing wrong with working as long as your child is in safe, loving, caring environment.

Re: Moms & Maids

That came off like Jibreel (AS) saying… Iqra!

Re: Moms & Maids

Totally off topic but if you get the chance, run…don’t walk…to Shayk Omar Suleiman’s/Bayyinnah’s Story of Jibreel. I attended one last month and it was the best 3 hours I ever spent..I learned a lot!

Re: Moms & Maids

Maybe not. There are women out there who beat their babies and hurt them. But that’s a minority. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a career but children should be the first priority. For both mothers and fathers. But again islamically a mothers role has been emphasised more than the fathers. If you can manage both then great. But the greatest and most important role for any woman will ultimately be how she raised her children. People might not agree with that and that’s fine.

Re: Moms & Maids

Can I watch this online? Any links?

Re: Moms & Maids

I don’t know know if they broadcast it for paid members of Bayinnah’s website, or maybe their YouTube channel, but Shayk Omar Suleiman basically goes all over the world giving this class. They announce the dates and schedule on their Facebook page and they sell out fast!! They had to add a second date in my city because the first sold out in 6 hours.

Re: Moms & Maids

I would like to add just one more thing, in a gender-agnostic way. We might get more than one chance at building a career, however we get only one chance at raising a kid.
