Re: Moms 2012- 2013
Hahahaha
How long have you girls felt nauseous? My mom was sick most of the time with me probably because I was her first born and she was in a foreign country.
Are there any foods you absolutely despise?
Re: Moms 2012- 2013
^ mostly meat. specially even seeing the raw meat is so repelling.
I havent felt nauseous much. It varies from preggers to preggers. nausea or not, pregnancy has its own kind of sickness which comes from exhaustion mainly. And this is some strange exhaustion because you feel tired wieh you dont even do anything.
Re: Moms 2012- 2013
Shrimps, crab, lobster … all that yummy stuff.
Can’t stand the sight of it.
Any kind of really spicy food is a no no.
With my daughter I think I was nauseous until the second trimester.
Re: Moms 2012- 2013
:( that must suck but I guess seafood is a no no anyway? since they have a lot of toxins etc.
Re: Moms 2012- 2013
moderation is the key.
Re: Moms 2012- 2013
how about clothes blues?
"I'm so fat nothing fits me anymore T___T" etc. or do you just embrace your beauty and are happy with your body changing.
I'm asking so many questions even though I have no plans on having a child for another few years D:
Re: Moms 2012- 2013
i was super, super sick from week 6 to week 17, monday to monday. it was ridiculous. i was on Diclectin (anti nausea medication) and thank GOD its approved in Canada, because i honestly don’t know how the rest of you non-Canadian preggo-and-nauseous ladies live without it, and despite that, i would throw up at least 2-3 times every.single.day.
i barfed in restaurant parking lots, in driveways, on the highway, at home, at work, at my friends’ places, on the plane (and that was ridiculously gross), off the plane, in barbados (what a ruined babymoon that turned out to be! turns out the tropics and their warmer weather didn’t suit my pregnant self) – literally, everywhere you can barf, i barfed. i should have made a barf map of the city ![]()
in the end, i was down to only being able to eat my mom’s chicken corn soup, and briefly, i had an intense craving for blood oranges. needless to say, i only gained 20lbs in the whole pregnancy and still gave birth to a 9.5 lb’er masha’Allah ![]()
i don’t think barfing/nausea has anything to do with location or what pregnancy it is- i honestly think its partly genetic and partly luck of the draw. one school of thought says barfing and nausea are actually good because it signifies a healthy, strong baby since so many hormones are flooding through you, but i don’t know if i buy that entirely.
we’ll see how the second pregnancy goes (whenever it happens iA!)
and no, i never felt fat. i actually really loved watching my belly grow. i felt fat after the baby (still do!
). during my pregnancy though, i felt great AH. After week 17, that is. I made it a point to dress nicely (until the last month when I was pretty much reduce to wearing sweat pants and hubby’s sweaters because I was too big to bother), and generally, it was a great experience overall, aches and pains notwithstanding.

my friend is throwing up alot right from day 1, n she gets scared wen i tell her that i didnt throw up in my pregnancy....
but each n every pregnancy is different....

Re: Moms 2012- 2013
I don't think I would be able to handle the nausea of pregnancy. I can barely handle my periods, I would die if the nausea lasted even a week!
My SO should carry the baby so I don't have to endure all the sickness! XD
Moms to be & moms are you going to sleep in the same bed as your baby? (are you already?) or will you put him/her in a separate cot but in the same room, or would you put the baby is his/her own room?
My SIL sleeps with her baby in the same bed so my SOs brother has been sleeping in a different room. I find this strange but I guess it make sense to them because his their first born.
I would prefer if my child was in his/her own cot in his/her own room but I might change my mind after I have a kid I don't know.
What are you going to do?
Also do you have preference of which you want your first born to be? My SO wants a girl because he wants a daddys girl (my SO is cute sometimes..) I don't really have any gender preference I would like a child who won't deprive me of sleep :D
My mom thought she was having boys in both her pregnancies even picked boys names out too bad for her she has daughters :P
If you don't know the gender of your baby what do you think it is?
I know I have so many questions :< sorry gals
