Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

That was against use of cuss words by you. Which mods will not delete due to obvious reasons.

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

Calm down people. I dont like editing threads opened by myself.

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

u dont need any effort to hit a SIX off akhtar, a safe edge can fly over the rope…

we have seen many short deliveries from akhtar going for six legbyes even after flying off the shoulders… :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

cause Pak are unbeaten in 3 consecutive home & away series (both Test and ODIs) and they have shown their ability to comeback (and even win) in a series. Now with Akhter inclusive, Pak bowling is second to none.

BD beating Aus was the single biggest moment of last year, I guess. BD was heading towards victory while Symonds was looking for another bottle.

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

it wasnt a edge ......... huge six over long on

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

That was one heck of a catch to watch, with so little time Akmal had to think within seconds to go for the catch or not and on top of that it was not an easy catch. No wonder why he got a beautiful wife

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

  1. Akmal and Razzak's partenership to save the first test in India.
  2. Multan last day, the English never recovered from then on.
  3. Afridi's century.
  4. Warne's Ashes bowling, simply brilliant.
  5. Bangalore last day.

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

Agree with all of the above. Good list. :)

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

All of the above mentioned + Hayden caught at point by Straus off Harmison...
(was it strauss?, amazing catch that was)

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

I think the stumping of Pieterson(?) by Akmal off Malik’s bowling, it was one brilliant stumping I blv :k:

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

it was collingwood

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

I distinctly remember one of the lines said by Waqar (during one of the ODI’s):

Waqar: Pakistan are really lucky to have players like Malik, Afridi, Razzaq who can bat and bowl, in my days we used to have only Aamir Sohail and Saleem Malik bowling his Dobbly Bobbly’s!

:rotfl: :rotfl: Moment of brilliance!

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

though its an innings rather than a "moment", it must be included...

Dhoni's 183 not out from 145 balls with 15 fours and 10 sixes

(this was India vs. SL 3rd ODI)

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005

thanx man, the indians on this site seem to 4get that innings or moment, they are just waiting 4 us to point out a Pakistani moment so they can say why it wasnt!

Re: Moments of cricketing brilliance in 2005
