However I don't believe people will know they will die in weeks/months time. Its probably something more psychological than definitive. Maybe closer to the time- reason being my granmother died not long ago and on the night before she had a dream where she saw her mother who said she will be seeing her very soon. When she mentioned the dream it was brushed aside as just a dream. She died later that day.
A distant uncle of ours who died over a year ago spent much of his last weeks in hospital as his health declined. As it did so he told his wife that he kept 'seeing' his brothers/sisters (all deceased) in front of him.
