dont worry I get that too…so and so’s daughter does this and that. and I say “if you ask me to do it I will do it too”…and parents say back to me “you should do it anyway…why do we have to tell you?”
then I get the lecture about leaving my books/papers all over the place…by mom. and dad tells her off about this
hmmm, theres many things…you know when u go to some1s house and sometimes the girls act all nice nice and extra sweet and khal chal achi tara se pooche and all that and if they say “oh aunty uncle …stay for dinner”…that girl automatically becomes an angel in the eyes of my parents…even though its all an act…and im sure shes not like that with her own family.
I’d rather be nice to my own family…close ones…rather than do it to SHOW people and impress others.
I had the same problem during high school, Mashallah like Im 5’8 and like I use to model, play varsity basketball, soccer, karate blackbelt, NJ state Dance Champion, and Mashallah in studies I was always straight A’s and my friends started to hate bringing home because they would be compared.. but my mom never compared me to anyone and always believed in that you are your own person compete with yourself and make ur own goals.. so thats how I feel all parents should be like to there kids..
