I’ll have to disagree. Homosexuality has existed in almost all ages. Some people are just naturally inclined. Given the VAST amount of physical ‘abnormalities’ humans can have, it is not hard to fathom that they may have psychological ‘abnormalities’ too, one of which is homosexuality. The human mind is highly complex.
Now the huge numbers we see in the west are not necessarily due to natural inclination. Media hype, mistreatment by people of the opposite sex, acceptance in general, porn and other reasons have made it much much more prevalent and turned it into a ‘choice.’
However, to say that it is completely unnatural is not true . Homosexual behavior is seen in animals too.
Seems like at least one person will say humans are not animals…but but but…we have the same creator. And and and, we justify other sexual tendencies, such as those in males, using the same logic of natural inclination.
If my child said that…I would freak out. I would probably go crazy and be completely disappointed. However, once he/she is on her own and once I have done my part in explaining what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ (and I would do that for a looong time), I would have to respect his/her personal choice. In the end, his life will be more his than it will be mine.
You explained my point of view in more detail and with reasons. I didn’t go into that detail but when i referred to ‘by choice’ thing .. I mean it the way you explained it .. .. .. I totally agree with it.
