Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

Hello everyone, I hope Ramadan is coming along well  ! I was wondering if anyone has experience with these shops. If you have pictures please post them here or inbox me ( I’ll respect the privacy for sure )! Also what is the range of their prices?

I need help desperately! Getting married exactly in five months! Also the formal clothing alongwith the brials please!

Umm my best friend got her wedding lengha made from Mohsin & Sons 2 years ago, it came out really nice, quality of work was brilliant and it had quite a lot of kaam. At the time I think it cost around £700, but that was 2 years ago and prices will definitely have gone up since then.

Re: Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

Okay, so I went in April/May this year.

Fashion ka ghar: agree with what the other poster said, their samples were in tatters and not nice looking. Also, after shopping around in Islamabad and chandni chawk in pindi, I didn't think the stuff in Fashion ka ghar was that great anyway - some of their formal wear right at the top of the shop looked like it was about 10 years old. Overpriced, and not great style. Wouldn't recommend.

Now, Mohsin Sons in Pindi. Oh Em Gee. STAY AWAY! Okay, so here is my story. I went in there because EVERYONE recommended to get my bridal from there. They treat you really nicely when you go in - sit you down, offer you a drink, sometimes offer you food haha. Their bridals were okay. Nothing amazing. I had an idea of what I wanted, and showed a picture to them - they said they can't copy. So I was like okay, show me what you have. I didn't really like any of their suits, but really felt the pressure to make an order cus the guy just wouldn't give up, so in the end opted for this dress that they'd made for another customer, but thought I'd change the colours (I took pics of it and can post if you want?). Anyway, so we finalised the colours and agreed a price (I thought it was way overpriced but agreed in the end), and paid them a deposit. I left feeling kind of uncomfortable cus I wasn't 100% happy with the jorra. So after talking with other family members and sleeping on it, I decided I really wasn't happy and wanted to cancel the order. Word of advice - never ever EVER do this with Mohsin Sons. We went back there, and the guy who we made the deal with was SO batameez, I have never seen anyone so rude. We didn't even ask for the deposit back - I agreed to by a jorra from them (zabardasti se) for that money - they weren't losing out on any money. But the guy was way too rude and refusing to cancel the order. He said I had to choose something else from their bridal collection (and I hated everything else). Long story short, another worker (his name is Adnan - very nice guy!) helped us out and finally got the guy to cancel the bridal. The thing is, as a bride you want your dress to be perfect. And with Mohsin Sons, if you decide to change your mind, you will have to go through hell and back to get them to listen to you. So for formal wears, go to Adnan in Mohsin Sons pindi, (he had the best designs, fairly reasonable prices, and he helped me when I was crying :( ) but STAY AWAY FROM THEIR BRIDALS because 1) they are ugly and 2) if you change your mind they will NOT treat you nicely

also, Mohsin Sons have a SEPARATE charge for stitching (on top of the suit) and are generally overpriced compared to all other shops in chandni chawk which have lovely designs :)

any questions, feel free to ask. will try and post pics later

Re: Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

this is the bridal I ordered from Mohsin Sons in Pindi - you can see some of their other bridals in the back too. I didn’t like any of them - this was the best of the bunch.

This is one of the formals that guy Adnan designs - really like his designs and this one was well priced (can’t remember exactly but it was reasonable, I think around Rs20k?)

Re: Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

What price did they quote for you for the bridal dress?

Re: Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

I never liked Mohsin and Sons in Pindi, rude salesman and overprice suits.

Re: Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

Wow, thank you for sharing your experience everyone! That bridal gown is quite tacky and dull! The work doesn’t seem neat at all. How much was it anways, just so I can get a general idea!

Re: Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

to those asking, the bridal that I posted above was quoted to me for 1.5 lakhs. I thought it was over priced.

Didn't look at bridals in fashion ka ghar, but looked at formals and they were way more expensive (starting at 25,000 upwards) and were not even stylish - typical a-line kameezay with kaam in the middle and churidaar sleeves.

crown - I went to fashion ka ghar in Islamabad - don't know if there is one in Pindi. But Mohsin Sons Pindi and FKG Islamabad are like half an hour drive away from each other.

btw, guys you do know there is a Mohsin Sons in Islamabad too right? It just recently opened. It's a very small one in the Jinnah Super complex, just underneath ChenOne. So you could check out both FKG and Mohsin Sons in Islamabad if you wanted.

I got my bridal ordered from Lebas, also in Jinnah Super, Islamabad. The guy was absolutely amazing - he made the whole thing in start to finish within 3 weeks, was so friendly and listened to what I wanted, was willing to negotiate on price, and when I didn't like the print of the jamawar patti on the dupatta he changed it free of charge and hand delivered it to our house the night before my flight. It's a small shop but they have such beautiful designs and I would totally recommend it over both Mohsin Sons and FKG! :)

Re: Mohsin & Sons Rawalpindi/ fashion ka ghar - Any experience?

I went to Mohsin Sons, although I didn't buy a bridal jora, I have to agree with Dafodil that I didn't experience any bad customer service. They were really helpful and patient because I was being really indecisive!
