Our Ammi used to say this when we siblings and cousins used to fight. The Muhawara came into being due to traditional enmity between Chandia and Magsi tribes

Some of aqwale zaree are also used as mohware,
But yes there is a bit difference,
Yeh mooh masoor Ki daal,
Apne mooh miyan mithoo.
I think both these are used when someone is Self-praising.

I think 'yeh munh aur masoor ki daal' is used when someone becoming more demanding than his/her abilities / status or asks for something he / she doesn't deserve.
