Can the mohatta palace in Karachi be rented as a wedding venue? I’m looking for a nice, beautiful place - preferably outdoors - with lots of big trees or good architecture. Any help would be highly appreciated!

I was also thinking of the golf club... but I don't know if they'll let us do it outdoors around the trees...
does anyone have experience with them?

i HIGHLY doubt you can book the palace for ur wedding. as far as other such building are concerned, u would probably find them outside of karachi, nearing thatta, 1- they would be extremely dirty, 2- u will not be able to get guests to come out all the way there.
the golf club does do weddings outdoors.

mohatta palace is beautiful, but i doubt the people who renovated it would give it for weddings.

nah they dnt i wanted my wedding at mohatta palace too! Later i was glad it didnt workout since i foundout frm various ppl including the staff at mohatta palace tat it is haunted:s golf club is a gud option but if u want greenary palm trees and no accomodation prob then paf musieum is wat ur looking for

where is it located and how is the place
It's located on the main road between Shara-e-faisal and Karachi international airport. The museum grounds are really clean and beautiful when I went there recently, but the area they had allocated as the wedding ground didn't look too appealing. It was some dingy corner, where a marquee had been set up for a particular wedding; however I never saw the arrangement up close, so I can't be certain.

Mohatta Palace is jinxed.. Acropolis is closed rather taken over by the bank where it had been mortgaged and a loan taken against it...!!
i had my valima at paf musieum the guest wer around 1500 ppl but it did not at al seem congested they charge more then the rest but the u hav the advantage of no space limit u can use the entire area if needed for a certian setup.. I quite liked the location since they had outdoor setup of the dinnertables and the view of the waterfal and palm trees was spectaculer

Acropolis is back as an event management company. They have an impressive venue list including:

8 Pavillion End club is on or around Rashid Minhas Road...
Not sure about Acropolis because last I heard they were bank defaulters!! Thats why they lost that White House too!!!

**The venue is not back but they have emerged as event planners. I saw their info in the DAWN newspaper. They are renting out different venues.
