Dumb move to warn him. Is Srinath forgetting his own kawa-like stares and faces when he used to bowl? Funny how these people have short memories as soon as they begin working for the ICC.

The ICC match referees are the most racist and incompetent lot of jokers in the game - when Nel, Kallis, Boucher, Gibbs curse opponents and sledge people left right and centre, they say ' oh they`re so competitive' and when Pakistanis do the same ' its unsportsmanship'. Excuse me? Do South Africans have white blood, or something ?

Its time India,Pakistan and Co take on the double standards of the ICC..People moan about the Aussies sledging - however they cant even hold a candle to the likes of the South Africans, who get away with murder. On the other hand, when our own teams show a little bit of fire...they're pulled up. Its B.S .

While it is irrelevant - Srinath never indulged in these kind of cheap gimmicks..he used to make crying faces but not stare at opposition

even if he did you mean to say that players who swore , intimidated , sledged when they become match referees should be blind to these things?

Well Asif got punished for his misdemeanour both on and off the field. Off the field with a severe reprimand + fine and Sri Lankan batsmen beat the crap out of him hammering him for 76 runs.

Surely then Nel for one is past the discipline stage, the guy gives the impression of a hungry animal waiting to pounce. Srinath is being a puff, you work so hard for a wicket naturally you will want to celebrate and If there is a bit of banter involved then so what? We are not playing snooker here! It's like asking a batsmen who has scored a centruy don't raise your bat towards your teammates or to acknowledge the crowd!
