Lucky guy!! Is he seriously thick in the head or what?
Now Aamir should focus on the criminal trial in October 2011, admit his mistakes, expose all the culprits, and get back on the international scene!
Pakistan bowler Mohammad Amir has escaped further punishment for playing for Surrey side Addington in June despite serving a worldwide ban at the time.
The 19-year-old is serving a five-year ban following his involvement in the spot-fixing scandal which erupted during the Lord’s Test between Pakistan and England last August.
His suspension covered all forms of cricket, but he was found to have turned out in a Surrey League game in June.
The confirmation from the ECB that it was a league fixture led to an ICC investigation. But despite Amir contravening his ban, he has been handed a slap on the wrist rather than any further punishment. “He was warned as to his future conduct and was reminded in the strongest possible terms of the conditions of his ban,” ICC spokesman Colin Gibson is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.
Re: Mohammed Aamir gets a "slap on the wrist" for flouting his ban
He should have also checked with ICC before agreeing to play (which he never did). That is THE first thing I w'd do if I were in his position
Well in this regard: he'll surely do a lot of things differently and i hope wisely as he still has a lot of Cricket left in him ..... I just hope he maintains some sort of Training to keep his shape
A Great Talent should not go to waste this way ..... even the Great Warne came back strong from his 1 year Ban

To be fair it was not his fault, he did ask the club who assured him that it was not a first class game. *Why did they not slap the club as well? *

I agree with you completely.** but the first part of your statement does not exempt him from blame

I agree, he deserves a second chance once he has served out his punishment but he must also act wisely in the meantime. I mean how hard was it for him to contact someone in the ICC? I am sure ICC must have given him relevant helpline numbers to seek advice on such matters. He just did not bother to contact anyone or was simply careless!
I would probably never make him captain. A repeat of such foolishness and Aamir can say goodbye to ever playing international cricket
He has been duped twice already!! First by his captain Salman Butt (if we are to believe some of the stories that were published in the papers last year) and now by this club
Fool me once, shame on you
Fool me twice, shame on me!!
