Mohammad Hafeez

Today, Mohammad Hafeez became only 3rd player in history of ODI Cricket to take 30+ Wickets and score 1000+ Runs in a calendar year. Other two players are: Sanath Jaysuriya (in 1997) and Jacques Kallis twice (in 2000 and 2002).

Mohammad Hafeez becomes Number 2 bowler in ICC ODI Rankings. Saeed Ajmal maintains himself with even better Ratings as Number 1. Hafeez has also become Number 2 All-rounder in ICC ODI Rankings.

Hafeez has been awesome this year :jhanda:

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

what a year he is having. If he is not married yet, he should find a bride and say 'qabool hai' before 31st Dec. Its highly likely that he will end up getting a wonderful begum :)

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

He is already married Bro ;)

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

I remember Hafeez performing brilliantly in domestic performance then coming onto International level he failed, couldn’t perform as expected then went back to domestic performed brilliantly again then came back and still failed to make a strong case, at that point I think Inzamam was also disappointed and said he can’t play at international level. But cheeta kept performing in domestic and finally he has had great year with this come back! Bravo Hafeez!!!

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

I think Hafeez has really improved his blowing skills ( may be it has to to alot with presence of Ajmal ) . It is the bowling which made his place in the team firmer hence he got more confidence in batting.
His batting was lacking true confidence in his early career.

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

One of the most improved player in Pakistan team, he is more like the 'man behind the scene' one of the main instrument of Pakistan's recent run of victories.

Very few players get a second or third chance in Pakistan, even fewer come back with a better technique. So hats off to Hafeez.

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

Right on

Hafeez has been great, and consistent. Responsible opener and great spinner!!

Ajmal ki to baat hee alag hai.

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

I will vote after Eng series, and if he progresses more than prettiest 30 run(That he can score on dead wickets almost at will) consistently in that series, then I will start thinking of him as (atleast) a good batsman of flat tracks...Not right now!

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

Hafeez scored 874 runs in 48 ODIs at an average of 18.59 before comeback in 2010 with highest score of 92. After making come back in 2010 he scored 1445 at ave of 37 in 42 matches with highest of 139*.

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

Its better for him to keep concentration on his current job as opener and spinner and not to dream of captaincy just yet. Otherwise he will be history very soon.

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

I agree with that, he needs to keep up his performance, on paper he is already 31, he doesn't have much time on hand. Just play one two years then he will probably be done with.

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

I was thinking that Afridi can go up in the list but :smack2:

Hafeez :hbk:

Re: Mohammad Hafeez

He stil needs to work on his batting. Still getting out cheaply.
