As much as I think he is misled in many ways, I think the brunt of his anger is against the hadith literature ... the main reason why most people who leave actually do leave. I've seen it happen, and its unfortunate. But maybe that is more sign that we need to get rid of this habit of not questioning things.
The hadith were man-recorded,and we follow them - which is fine if you follow or don't...but the spirit of questioning their validity has gone down the drain...why? Because some old guys back then decided that this is what is valid/not valid? How can we be so sure they weren't biased in their own collections of hadith?
I'm sure some hadith are valid, and I'm sure some are not. But if poeople stop this spirit of questioning, then its not going to help Muslims.
I'm sorry these people are leaving Islam, but maybe its time to wake-up and clean house.
