Delete the thread by Pak Patriot entitled “people converting from Islam to other religions”. Allowing space to such topics undermines Islam here, and runs the risk of beginninbg a slippery slope for some out of our deen-ul-haq.
Plz, if you are not convinced by the truth of Islam (we all have questions), delete it as to defend the sensibilities of most of us on this forum.
We are Muslims, religious or not (as in my case, due to my laziness ect), we should not allow the undermining of Islam amongst us.
Also ban Pak Patriot from Islam forum. By being an athiest he has disgraced our whole quam. There is honor even amounst thieves, but there is no justification for turning from Allah and His Rasool. Else open a seperate Islam forum, so people like him can roam freely in the religion forum, allowing us to discuss our deen amongst ourselves.
I thought I was "astray", not practising and all, but alhamdulillah I'd rather have my head cut from my shoulders then leave the noble truth of Al Islam. I am sickened that Gupshup accepts such people who are traitors to our qaum and nation.
As much as I think he is misled in many ways, I think the brunt of his anger is against the hadith literature ... the main reason why most people who leave actually do leave. I've seen it happen, and its unfortunate. But maybe that is more sign that we need to get rid of this habit of not questioning things.
The hadith were man-recorded,and we follow them - which is fine if you follow or don't...but the spirit of questioning their validity has gone down the drain...why? Because some old guys back then decided that this is what is valid/not valid? How can we be so sure they weren't biased in their own collections of hadith?
I'm sure some hadith are valid, and I'm sure some are not. But if poeople stop this spirit of questioning, then its not going to help Muslims.
I'm sorry these people are leaving Islam, but maybe its time to wake-up and clean house.
I'm not a scholar, but know that there is a science of hadith narration. There has to be an unbroken link back to the messenger, only such hadith are considered genuine.
Who are these ppl like PakPatriot (how can he love Pakistan, a land made for the security and well being of Islam in South Asia and then reject the very basis of its foundation?!) to "disregard" our Hadith tradition.
Ban him! Or is there no love for Islam amongst you moderators?
If you had an ounce of izzat you'd remove him. How can one be a Muslim (even a sinner like myself, who has such ganah to his record, has a degree of respect for it) and allow someone to rubbish our faith?
Make me a mod then, these traitors would be dealty with using an iron fist. Is there doubt in Allah?!!!!!
