no, time has changed and it is very much evident from this election. Junta these days don’t go by bhashans or botal. The present election was all about preparations. Local parties like RJD Jad(u) started preps soon after general election. BJP had some communication gap with it’s local leaders therefore misinterpreted public’s mood and expectations. They understood but it was too late.

The politics in UP-Bihar is about patronage and circulation of state patronage, it is not Delhi, where politics is of principles. It is Bihar, where politics is what it always was. A yadav will vote for Lalu, so that he can ask for state patronage to enroll his son in police. There is no fight for secularism as you may interpret.
Nitish promised Berozghari Bhatta of Rs 1000/month for 18 month. This is Bihar. Such offer have no value in Delhi.
If BJP ever got decimated it was Delhi and it was on principles instead of UP-Bihar type Chonch-Jabda politics.
