Let us sit and watch it. Mr.Omar has lost his publicity,image and support , with the way he mismanaged the recent flood rescue operation. Mr.Modi is fast gaining grounds in J&K. With the safe zone in Jammu all the B.J.P has to do is to woo voters in the valley.They are fielding Muslim contestants for it.Then comes the Shia voters of the border and Laddakh ilakas'.Remember,Shia Muslims have always remained loyal to New Delhi and they have always stood against Kashmir going in to theother' hand.
Even the valley people,after the insurgency's back-bone has been pulverized by the Indian security apparatus,want development for their state.This time it is going to be a `clash of the Titans'.
J&K elections will determine the true ambit of the B.J.P and Mr.Modi and also...........

BJP can win easily in Jammu, with some partners in the valley they'll land the government in Kashmir. Interesting proposition which looks probable at the moment.

Apparently they are giving tickets to educated women with social service background.
Though i dont think he can make a sweep like in rest of the country but i am open for surprises.
I have talked to few kashmiris from the valley and they told me that he has some support from business community as they think he is business friendly and may lift taxes on carpet export which used to be a huge source of revenue for them.

First time ever i have seen urdu posters from BJP. I did some look around, while you find a lot of anti modi opinionated people in the valley there is a surprising support from him as well. Especially in the educated and young people.

Modi is using similar terminologies to Imran khan. If you want to get rid of dynasty politics of two families, in this case PDP and national conference.

It can't be denied the BJP rise to power also owes a lot to Hindus wanting to flex their muscles. When you hear justifications for Gujarat such as "they started it" - one of my relatives gave this justification- you realize that the nation is morally bankrupt. When someone asks - what should Modi apologize for - you realize honesty is not the strong suit of "us".
The BJP ascended to power propelled in equal measure by bigotry and aversion to dynastic rule. Hopefully the former gets sidelined.

Appearances are deceptive. I don't think there is a political party anywhere in the world that is not corrupt.

Looks like Kashmiris are finally fed up of dynastic politics and want a change. Modi's development politics also seems to have caught their fancy. Will be interesting to see the results next month.

Voting has been record 70 percent despite the weather and virtually no incidents.
Huge turnout is good news for parties like AAP and BJP.
