There were lots of talks that Obama have visited India and Modi was falling alll over the place by having Obama as the chief guest in 26th Jan parade.
Now the outcome, Modi have to resume the dialogue with Pakistan, Modi have to bring down the tensions at border and control line, Modi’s India’s exit from Afghanistan… and they call Obama visit a success because Obama promised them Nuclear technology ( which they are promising from like last 15 years) and seat at UNO from no one knows from how many decades.
Yes the visit was success, finally Modi was able to show wear his suit with Modi printed on it, finally he was able to serve the tea to Obama, finally he have us president as a guest in India…
I love Modi, india should vote for him in elections… provided India sticks around till that time…
Dialog with pakistan - even if pakistan were serious, they are in no position for peace even internally, forget making any meaningful permanent decisions about LoC, Kashmir settlement etc. Plain pointless waste of time.
India's exit from afghanistan - when was india in afghanistan? hain? Indian companies still holds all the mining and construction contracts they won, several are already active - nothing changed with Obama's visit.
India will stick around, no worries. its not like india's biggest threat - ghazwa leader hazrat zaid hamid is going to ride in on his camel force anytime soon to annex delhi. :)
LOL at Pak-Indo talks, who called off the talk the arrogant Modi, in August i guess, and reason was, they were upset that why Pakistani High Commission met Kashmiri delegation… and you have resumed the talk again the same arrogant Modi who is now a puss have resumed the talk and guess what Pakistan have not apologized on its meeting with Kashmiries.. so bite the dust…
India Stick around unless modi is gone… and that is not happening, ISI should invest its assets in having Modi around for next 10 years.. it will bring end to the India automatically…

economically speaking, if India Pakistan decides to live in peace, then Billions of Dollars spent on defence and whatnot, can be spend on the betterment of these two countries... but this is just a myth...

I seriously doubt that India spends $40 billion annually and since we want to project ourselves as Power in the region, our expenditure are going to increase with Pakistan peace or not.

That is huge sum, but one thing India forgets is, no matter what kind or how many weapons they stock up and buys from west, they are going to be a "borrowed" power, because these weapons comes with the expiry date and does not get upgraded automatically..
Now, Since India want to become a power, it have two models in front of it, One is Russian, where they became a power and Now Soviet Union is thing of past, and other is US, who became power war and economic power as well.... alone war machine cannot be projected as a world power... living example... China...

Agreed, We are developing our indigenous system as well with collaborations or without it as well
We licence produce almost every weaponry that we buy. Our space program is one the best in world
If you look closely we tried increasing our defense expenditure commensurate with economic might as well
Remember, we are Baniyas by trade, we always follow Capitalistic model :)
