Anyone know where to get cuter swimwear that I can wear (capris and rashguards type thing) from for my honeymoon? I dont want to spend 70 dollars on swimsuits and that’s what I’m finding. :S
Re: Modest swimwear
just stay under/in the water till evening, after its dark sneak out.
Re: Modest swimwear
I googled “swimwear rashguard” and the was the first link that came up. Women’s Rash Guard Shirts - Rash Guards for Women
As for capris, just ANY capris won’t work? Like the ones you can wear to work out? ![]()
Re: Modest swimwear
I and my family bought Coolibar swimwear when we went on a cruise. They have what you are looking for but they are pricey. I paid $150 for a shirt and a Capri. I am still mad about it. ![]()
Re: Modest swimwear
do they? I saw that link too but I was just curious if anyone had ordered from anywhere that was reliable.
lol I don’t know if you can wear capris (that’s honestly stretching it and I’d rather wear ankle length leggings) that you normally wear in the water lol
yeah that’s way too much :S
Swim capris should work with a rash guard. I was looking for something modest too and there are tons of swim capris/rash guard to choose from. Google
Re: Modest swimwear
I’m not really sure what you mean by “reliable”? Since you don’t own one currently, you obviously don’t hit the pool on a regular basis. You need something cheap for the honeymoon. Look at the link below…Wal-mart has rash guard for $16. And if you want ankle length leggings…you can find them for less than $20 (Wal-mar has those too btw lol).
Re: Modest swimwear
I have bought stuff for my daughter from Coolibar. And I told a friend about it too when she needed something modest for herself.I can tell that their stuff is good, their service is reliable and returns (via mail) are easy too.But they are pricey!!Even after you register your email with them and they send you coupons, still it is a lot.
I had to buy something for myslef when I had to take my kid for swim lessons and be in the pool with her.I bought a very basic (and cheap rash guard) from Kohl’s and paired it with regular black tights (not swimwear material).I am not sure whether it will work for you,but it is a cheaper option.
Re: Modest swimwear
Just do what Monk said. Enjoy the beach by moonlight. Paisay bhi bach jayen ge.
Re: Modest swimwear
I just meant with a website that’s somewhat reputable, which is why I was hesitating ordering.
I’ve been stuck in the south so long I only think of groceries when I think of Walmart…but you’re right! I’ll check that out. Thank you! ![]()
Re: Modest swimwear
LOL yikes! I’m in the South too and I never buy groceries in Wal-Mart (Unless it’s canned goods lol). I stick to Kroger, HEB, or Whole Foods.
Re: Modest swimwear
Try Target. I got modest swimwear for my daughter there in the activewear section. Check online first to see which store near you has it. Some have full length pants ( swimwear material) and others had Capri pants. The rash guard or what I call a UV shirt was separate. I usually pair it with a one piece swimsuit underneath. She took swim lessons in it and all and was fine. If all else fails. There’s always the burkhini!
Re: Modest swimwear
haha I wish we had a Kroger. I’m in the gaon. ![]()
I’ll check out Target too.
thank yoU!
Thing with regular tights is… Sand gets stuck in it (which I am not sure would happen with swim capris). If you are going to the beach as opposed to pool, do buy swim capris/pants.
Re: Modest swimwear
In this age of drones?
Re: Modest swimwear
Yeah, we’re going to Cancun for our honeymoon. Which I thought was fine since we have a private pool in our room but then…we have ot venture out and do stuff and I need appropriate clothes for that lol
Didn’t even think of the sand! ![]()
Re: Modest swimwear
What stuff are you planning on doing? Are you specifically looking for clothes to go to the beach in/in the pool/ocean? I have gone to Hawaii (twice), Bermuda, St. Thomas, Turks & Caicos and several other “beach” type areas. Your options if you’re not actually at the beach/looking to get in the pool are huge. And unless you’re at the beach..sand is not an issue. Are you and/or fiancé big swimmer or really into water/beach?
If you’re looking for stuff to wear when you’re not actually at the beach…I would recommend getting loose cotton maxi dresses. They will cover you up while still being light/comfortable/airy.
Re: Modest swimwear
I get my rashguards and board shorts from LandsEnd..they have 2 different lengths in board shorts…regular and long
Re: Modest swimwear
There was this Christian website I can’t find now…bought my suit from them.
Re: Modest swimwear
So we plan on spending the majority of the time in our private pool but we definitely want to go to the main beach 1-2 days and maybe drop the main pool, if possible. Not doing that won’t be the end of the world, but I feel like I’m going to go crazy just sitting in our room alone because we’re both fairly social creatures.
In terms of stuff requiring me to be in water in public…we wanted to go jetskiing/paddle-boarding and swimming with dolphins.
I can wear whatever I want when I’m at the pool in our room but I need something else for the times I’m in the water in public.
I got a few flowy skirts and maxi dresses and a lighter material romper so I’m good to go in that regard. It’s just the swimwear because I’ve never had to somewhere resorty before. I grew up near the beach but we just used oversized tshirts and leggings…not exactly the attire I would want for a resort on our honeymoon. lol.
side note and completely unrelated: how did you like St. Thomas and Turks & Caicos?
