Modern Pakistani Girls.. and guys

In my opinion, the modern Muslim Pakistanis are straying away from their roots and religions. Even those living in Pakistan do not bother about decent dressing etc.

I am not too sure about Pakistan of course, but here in Singapore, some Pakistani girls from Pakistan(expats) and also the Singaporean Pakistanis are really outta hand. They drink in clubs, have boyfriends and dress very indecently.

What are your opinion about this?

I think that it all boils down to the person’s wishes. It is the girl’s life. But you know.. people tend to talk. like the aunties here are always gossiping about this girl or guy(esp girls!) saying that they dress indecently or were seen with a guy holding hands etc.

My father is really strict abt dressing. My sisters and I are allowed to wear western wear of course but nothing revealing or figure hugging. Also, my mother emphasises on us always carrying a shawl around. We are allowed to hang around with guys but in a group…

Any comment/experiences to share? :slight_smile:

^The subject of your post and its correlation with body of your rationale is an antithesis to the true spirit of Islam, my friend Islam is not against modernization, its is rather an engine that provides a true thrust to body of human intellect. I do agree with your message but perceived and assumed synonymity between modernization and westernization is incorrect.

we adopt western culture either in the name of enlightened moderation or secularism without realizing that this pavement will take us to a trench of moral nudity.
