blackrose.... moderators are selected from members. Who gets the invitation to be a mod depends on quality of posts and experience as a Gupshup member. There are several other criteria as well. However, people offering themselves for moderator without even asking, are seldom considered. This is purely a voluntary position.

Best advice is to continue posting and participate in discussions. If you seem like a suitable person for a forum, Admins will contact you. Right now, you are way too new to be considered anyway.
