Moderator or Manipulator?.

I strongly feel that one of my threads Burqa becomes focus of tense debate in Europe ----- started on February 04, 2010 at 09:05 am ----- under category World Affairs ----- was hijacked by a moderator by starting a same thread as **Niqab: Cast your vote **](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/all-views/396991-niqab-cast-your-vote.html)on February 08, 2010 at 03:08 pm ----- under category ----- All Views ----- please correct me if I am being unfair and mistaken here!

You are not being unfair but I guess you are acting little too sensitive. All Views thread is asking members about their personal take on whether the naqab should be banned or not. Your thread is discussing the french law.

I like the topic of your thread very much. We need more contributors who pick a topic that is important for our community. Keep up the good work :k:

Understandable and no big deal ----- it brings up yet another relatively small nevertheless interesting argument though ----- some how overlooking a Poll: Dr. Aafia Siddiue-what should be the reaction of Pakistani nation? Which was started on February 03, 2010 at 03:08 pm in Pakistan Affairs ----- I started a thread DR. AAFIA SIDDIQUI CONVICTED IN NEW YORK!in Pakistan Affairs on February 03, 2010 at 10:11 pm. My thread was immediately closed due to the fact that another similar Poll was already running in the same category. I immediately conceded my mistake by sending an apology PM to the mod who closed my thread.

I guess my question to you is ----- since both situations were identical why such variation?.

A thread on a similar topic within a same forum and in 2 diff forums is not the same thing. I can open a thread on Taliban in R&S, discussing the extremity of their belief system, while someone can open a thread on Taliban in PA and both will be fine.

Now if you and I open that thread in PA then one will get closed (usually the one that was open later).

is a poll which can be started only by a mod. I started the thread and made it a sticky as I thought it would be interesting to see the opinion of the forum on the issue.. I hope this will clarify your misunderstanding. The intention was not to undermine any valued member of the forum.
