i've seen these jews here in montreal as well. there was this pro-palestine demonstration, and they were there as well. it was kinda weird to see these hardcore jews against israel. when you grow up hearing the jews are the enemies of islam, and all that, and then seeing this... puts things in prespective. a lot of ppl in pakistan need that prespective ...
Yeah you have jews who are against the squatter state of israel these are what you called moderates but also some orthodox jews against the squatter state.
But this does'nt effect the reality and that is that the vast majority of jews support the squatter state of israel both financially and politically.
It is same as when you have some amerikkkans who against the occupation of iraq yeah its good but it does'nt change the reality.
The focus should be made on how to finish the israeli occupation in palestine and amerikkan occupation of Iraq anything else is a side issue.
What kind of stupid Jews are these. A real Jew is a Jew who is real, and who believes in return of Judea and Samara. It is in Torah.
I am sure these protestors are friggin paid protesters who look like Jews and just go to any protest just to be there and make some money. Have you ever seen Chinese Sikhs? I have.

I was just wondering if he could cite a "moderate" Pakistani or Muslim who protests Islamic Orthodoxy in the way that the CU Prof. does or the Jewish marchers did with their issues of choice.
i.e. is there someone he applauds who protests certain aspects of Sharia Law for instance. Name some heroic, patriotic Muslims who vigorously dissent with the orthodoxy of their culture (Islam) or society(Ummah).
The point is this...it's rather easy too applaud the home grown critics of some society with which you see yourself at odds-they are brave, patriotic progressive seekers of the truth. There are many of these in Western society, and they protest what they believe to be the injust orthodoxy of their culture (capitalism, western mores, etc.)
It's true, I think, that it is important and healthy and often patriotic to earnestly question the source of authority in a culture. Do Islamic societies foster a similar
climate in which the vigorous scrutiny of authority is applauded?
