OKay. Today I was really really happy cuz i just found out I got strait A’s in my first semester in college.
Here’s what burst my bubble:
Some chick on this other gupshup forum (a shameless copy of our own beloved forum) claimed that Hadiqa Kiani’s video for Dupatta was Indian (wrong!) and another lady exclaimed: “no wonder the guy looked cute”.
At which I gave them a heated response.
So here’s my question - since this debate has come up on this other forum:
Are Pakistani models not as good looking as Indian models?
apparently, many Pakistanis are of the opinion that they are not yet, aren’t Pakistanis and INdians of the same race? So why would one be better looking than the other? Hmmm.. YOur opinions?
Pakistani models, especially the females, are much in demand in Pakistan and elsewhere for that matter. The likes of Iraj, Vinny, and Amna Haq for example have done shoots in Europe, Canada etc as well as in Pakistan.
I think its just ignorance on the part of some people. You shouldnt worry too much about it.
As for Hadiqa’s vido - it was Pakistani as you pointed out.
Some of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Ali Haider’s videos did use Indian models but that was because both of them were in India at the time and their respective songs were produced by an Indian record company. Thats it.
I get so frustrated over the stupidity and ignorance of such people. I don't know how you can intellectually make a conclusion as to who's better looking, Indian models or Pakistani models. Is beauty confined to regions or borders?
We have a lot of talent and a lot of beautiful faces. It all breaks down to the fact that how do you mold these faces. Most people in the fashion industry are made-up with layers and layers of gunk plastered over their faces. We have top fashion designers, what we need are talented make-up artists. But who's willing to do it and who's willing to spend the money to launch these models?
PyariCgudia: I must say that i've read your comments in other threads concerning Pakistani Film Industry, and i am pleased that you intend to go into the industry with the intentions of improving the quality of films, etc. We definitely need more educated people there who are will bring out the best of the culture and society.
…
all videoz by hadiQa were produced in Pakistan…the guy in ‘dupatta’ video is pakistani aswell…this is nothing BUT BS that ppl think that good looking guyz / galz are in india only…v have lotz of talent + beauty in our own country…all it needz is some appreciation and encouragement…
muhabatein theen kabhi apne dermian kitni…
bicha gaye hai anna hum mein doorian kitni…
abhi to toota hai dil hi teri judai mein…
girein gi hum pe abhi aur bijlian kitni…
Ali: I believe that there was only one video produced for Dupatta - the one built upon Matrix sequences. And that version is pakistani. Hadiqa has not produced an Indian video to date.
Thanks guys, its good to know there are other people who agree with me. I was very disappointed in the ignorance I saw on that forum. But I'm happy now!
let me tell u guys..y they think that…allrite it is made in pak and the male model is paki too.all ppl are paki in the vdo.Her vdo was showed in zee tv..
Pakistanis are better looking than Indians full stop. <<
Exactly.
Come to that Pakistan is better than India.
Also Pakistan is better than US.
I hope you are satisfied
Hey PyariCGudia… good luck on all your future endeavours…
but are you really becoming an actress…
thats kinda kewl… but do a lil more research on
what happens in the background… really messes people up…
but if your goal is to turn the industry around… then go get it TIGER!!!
And to the question of who’s better looking,
take this notion…
erase the border between India and Pakistan, and also erase the names India and Pakistan…
then make a comparison…

Naw - not planning on becoming an actress - I wish to go into production or direction.
I've been playing around with some ideas and i do have a lot of visions for reconstruction of the paki industry - too much good talent in that country that has not been tapped yet.
Actually, there are a lot of expatriate pakistanis in the US that i know of who are really interested in acting, writing, etc - i'd like to expose that talent as well... i don't know - we'll see - i'm also doing bio (pre-med) and political science as my majors in college . The film career will be a hobby. but b4 nething i'll be getting some training at my univ , then if i'm still really into it and i have enuff confidence in my abilities - i'll go for it.
