Pakistan Student Association at my school is going to hold a pakistani mock wedding. We need to get decoration , tambos and the works (mostly decorations) for it. Guppies living around the tristate area could you please tell me if you know of a vendor that specializes in wedding decors.

Oh yeah.. if they are going to do Nikaah then let me tell you I heard that Nikaah done even in jest is legitamate but of course according to Islam the girls guardian has to give her away for it to be truly valid, Fiqh-e-Hanafi however makes an exception and says all that's needed for a Nikaah to be valid is the couple accepting each other as man and wife in the presence of two Muslim witnesses, not an opinion I agree with but since most Pakistanis follow the Hanafi school can you imagine what they'd be getting upto and thinking it's Halaal?

Oky why do you guys get all hot and bothered when someone decides to live their life according to religious principles? Whether you like it or not Islam DOES have guidelines for every aspect of life and someone's gonna bring it up. HOnestly I used to get pissed off and annoyed too. I would ask my dad a simple quesiton and he would start a 2 hr lecture and bring in Islam, but I totally see the point now....And anyway why do you get so annoyed at hearing the truth? :)
