Did anyone see the Mobilink Mobitunes commercial that is airing on ARY One World (don’t know about you guys, ARYOW for me :)). The most recently circulating ones include Fawad Afzal Khan in them, the vocalist of ex-band Entity Paradigm (EP). Fawad most recently had a major role in Shoaib Mansoor’s “Khuda Kay Liye” alongside Shaan and Imaan Ali.
To give a bit of outlook on this guy, he’s a clean-shaven fair young (kinda handsome for the gurlz ;)) typical Paki looking fella with long eyebrows, and he’s singing the song “teri to mun monhriye” (something like that, sorry I am not good at Punjabi :)) at the beginning of the ad and later on in the commercial is explaining about his new Mobitunes-equipped mobile.
I would like to bring to light the hypocrisy of this person. Since he looked a quite interesting guy to me, I did a bit of research on him and found a great interview collection of him that can be read here http://tb2.radiosargam.com/lofiversi…php?t554.html. Now notice the kind of language he’s using here: abundant use of F-words (hope that he knows what it means) and his pervasively evident addiction with “revolutionizing”.
At one point he even criticizes the commercials made nowadays in Pakistan, and if you notice, the kind of commercial he just starred in sounds astoundingly similar to the example he despised in his interview. What a sycophant.
