so teh situation os this. my folks are leaving for UK like today, and they have official binid in pakmanland for which they would be contacted on their cellphone digits, cuz I cant get the ppl there to call long distance to talk to them..anyhoo..so i hafat either get vmail on their phones or get em roaming..due to moharram the shops are closed, so they cant do nuffin in person.

The prepaid connection, called Jazz, can be activated using the helpline, 111. However that would have to be done from within Pakistan. You have to call from the mobile number that you wish to get roaming activated on. It just takes a few min to get activated.

thanks guys, sometimes I guess I worry too much. here I was worrying that they need to get the service and shops are closed and what nots. My parents flew out but i spoke to my bro in London to find out if he knew what hapepned with the roaming thing, and based on what he said it appears I was more cocerned that dad-dude he just had someone get it done for him, all he needed was to know that he needed to do it, and boom by mid morning, he is set.
