What would be a good sim package to take for the few weeks I am planning on spending in Pakistan this summer? Please give the price and coverage too.
I keep two SIMs of 2 different companies when in Pakistan.
(For calling, texting and internet) Ufone: SIM + Super card pre-paid monthly package (Total cost < Rs. 1000/=)
(For Zoom calls + backup) Zong: SIM + monthly 5GB internet package. (Total cost < Rs. 600)
Due to long power outages, mobile networks become unavailable sometimes. Therefore having access to two different networks really help. On paper Ufone has better coverage, but practically Zong has the best coverage all over Pakistan. I doubt there is any other network that covers an area which both Ufone and Zong would miss. Generally Ufone meets all my needs but it fails miserably when it comes to Zoom calls. That's where Zong shines !
