That jury did not see all the evidence. They saw what the DA wanted to see. So even if they are not part of the cover up, they have limited information to use to make a decision. Like Shamraz pointed out in a grand jury there is no defense testimony to refute what the DA presents. DA and the police have a symbiotic relationship. They will always have each other’s backs. I am against floating conspiracy theories myself, but in this case there is a reason to.

Now for the black neighborhoods; isnt that the crux of the problem here. The mutual distrust. In Ferguson, the police force is disproportionately white and is responsible for policing a majority black population. You cannot compare that to South LA or Newark, where the whole police force is filled with african americans and latinos. Even some senior positions are filled by them.

Like I pointed out before, the grand jury should have indicted him and let the trial play out in the open. If he was not guilty then he would have been acquitted.

They were free to call all the witnesses and they actually did call many witnesses. Here is what Grand Jury saw. (documents released)

I totally agree that efforts should be made to bring the community in flow but not at the cost of wrongly charging a police officer.
