That is neither a practical, nor a sound suggestion. Masjids, if utilized properly, should have been one place where the mob-stricken folks could have sought refuge. Masjid is God’s place. God of all creations regardless of color, size, above ground, deep within the earth, known, unknown. The door should never be shut for any reason whatsoever.
Honestly do you think that this idea was feasible. It would have just added fuel to the fire. Any leader would have claimed that the folks were not properly dressed and brought disrespect to the masjid sparking another round of madness

What should have happened is that the police should have employed their morality, and ethics. Police should have dispersed the enraged mob by taking out the supposed leader(s). It’s usually the the show-off tempremental hizb-u-shaytan persons in the guise of Guidance Givers that stir up emotions, spread the hearsay without first authenticating the truth. Islam requires that you do not spread a word of something unless and until you have verified it to be true.
The person asking for the Announcement, the person making the announcement, the people who were forerunners in leading the mob should all be in question, and in some really hot water right now with fullest extent of law staring them in the face to enforce justice. They’re essentially accessories to multiple counts of multiple murders, lawlessness, vandalism, and no different than terrorists who blow up masjids/schools/homes/infrastructure.
For the Governments at both Provincial and Federal level to not bring about quick fate of this, is akin to criticizing selective terrorism. If attacking Democracy is considered a crime of the highest degree, what should the death of even a single human being in the reign of supposed Democracy be considered?
Make an example of one incident, rest assured you will see a drop in domestic violence stemming from firqa-wariat. Treat the illness, not the symptoms!
Do you seriously think anything of this is possible. It is just hope. Soon this incident will be forgotten until we are reminded of this by another gruesome tragedy.
