Law sorry 'LAA' is in the back pockets of the rich. Police mukamal taur par bikh chuki hai. If they can't be relied upon to do their job then someone needs to do their job for them.

signs of unity in Pakistan
corrupt police made us to take things into our own hands.
…to me its a beginning…otherwise no one dares to get involved into these things
…but deep inside me is asking “Why is all this happening on a first place”

Khas kum, jahan paak...
Yes. But we can not put all the blame on the governement.
:)......May be the New Govt will learn this way that Public is not going to put up with Thieves...........:(
Re: ‘Mob justice’ - sign of unity in Pakistan? [Merged]
Justice delayed is Justice denied ...
If govt. is not providing very basic services like Justice than some one has to do it either way.
I won't be surprised if tomorrow people start killing each other over water, gas and electricity.
Re: ‘Mob justice’ - sign of unity in Pakistan? [Merged]
This is not a 'mob justice' , rather it is mob reaction to authorities in-action and injustice
This is a very dangerous trend. Because mob has no brain, no brakes ... All it has is anger and rage.
3.,4 times it might kill armed robbers... next it might kill a harmless and armless pickpocket

There has to be a Balance! For now it looks perfectly all right to many people, but it may turn into another disaster in the society! People can misuse and can take personal revenges through this method! ... Some minor thieves may also be a victim of this brutal activity!
Some body need to draw some ethical lines! To stop massive robberies; little beating is fine or coloring the face black and let them have a ride on a donkey! ... but burning alive is simply a barbaric action and it might turn into another kind of corruption in the society! We have to think being human and Muslim! ...

You guys have said pretty much everything that needs to be said on this, so my only two cents are that the Jang cartoon was actually funny and the picture of burning guys was very disturbing. More disturbing because apparently they were burnt alive in front of policemen and without any due process. Since the first incident of this sort, more have been reported so one must be questioning the IQ of dakoos in Karachi that they are still continuing with their lawless ways knowing fully well, that if they get caught they may be burnt alive on the spot. It must take some dedication to continue with their routine dakaas under such tough circumstances.
sign of unity! may be, but definitely a sign of FRUSTRATION over the issues people are facing on daily basis. They can’t do anything about increasing prices of food and absense of basic utilities, so they chose this way to demonstrate their ANGER and it’s a very dangerous sign. Yesterday in LAhore a mob tried to do the same. Our leaders should learn to out grow from “POPULAR POLITICS” and pay some attention to REAL issues.
If they want to oust some individual and want to bring back CJ with “Alladin ka Chiragh” in his hand, FINE do it ASAP, but in the mean time they should pay some attention to this food crisis and power shortage and of course law & order situation in Pakistan.
Faisal mentioned why they are still continuing with their lawless routine, well you can’t blame them. in a country where families mostly depend on a single person, under these circumstances it’s not surprising.
average income in Pakistan is roughly about Rs 10,000. (in MAJOR cities) and lets a say he is supporting a family of 3. (he, his wife and a kid)
Attaa is about RS40/kg
meat about RS300/kg
cooking oil is about RS500/DABBA
Rice about 90/kg
lets ASSUME he OWNS the house so no rent (add rent around Rs 4000 if he lives in a gheto)
utility bills
kids schooling etc etc
You are from finance, can you POSSIBLY make a budget for this family to servive?
PS: this swings both ways, now assume you are the guy earning that money, it’s middle of the month and some DAKOO comes and robs you from whatever you got left, how would you feel then? ![]()
Re: ‘Mob justice’ - sign of unity in Pakistan? [Merged]
Its just a start ............. in future ya will see these furious,, inflamed, infuriated, irate and outraged people burning any one who comes in their way of living a life .. any one who steals their basic rights .. either a politician or a religious leader .....
Burning Dakoos is just the first chapter of this book ........
As a Karachite slang Goes ....... ' Kahani abhi Baqi hai mere Dost' .......
