Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
RD you are trying too hard, everyone knows that Musharraf is a family man, while I dont know about drinking (thats a diff issue), but these allegations of 'womanizing' are just so absurd, grow up yar seriously... Did you even see that program on PTV, the interview with the first family, hes got a very decent family, his wife, son and daughter (who is married and has kids), and there you are making these imaginary accusations of womanizing without any sort of proof. Shame on you.
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!
Spock- A PTV program!
your so gullible
I don’t think I am a expert on America just because I watch it on tv, or read a paper. Same applies to you and your ‘friend’ re Pakistan.
Stop telling us what we in Pakistan know.
As I said many times before, try living in a country before you comment on it like your an expert,
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
yes, as well, the list can go on and on
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
Pakistan, where rumors and gossip trump facts.
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!
so how are you an expert on Pakistan? please elaborate.
just by living there? does that mean every Pakistani knows intimate details about specifics of political figures and all plans, inside
are the people telepathically linked in the border? or are Pakistanis in Pakistan like the borg from star trek.
Please explain ![]()
and by the same token sionce BB does not live in Pakistan, people in Pakistan would not know anything about her, so ppl in UK though would know..right.
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!
errr utd, you are not an expert on Pakistan, try living in Pakistan for a chance before you can have any point of view, I mean where do you get your info from, newspapers, news, world reports, bah…they are not real. U want the real scoop u come with me to pak, we will hang at the local pan ka khokha, and thats where u find out all info.
you you you..american…jew…you ![]()
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
Im pretty certain Musharaf drinks, but I doubt hes a womanizer...
Although people have done worse in their youth...
But yeah, I also support legalizing booz, if only because not legalizing is a waste... There is far more to be gained from legalizing and regulating alcohol, then from banning it outright.
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
Specifically, can you name a single woman who Musharraf has been known to womanise with, or a single occasion on which evidence exist that he drank alcohol?
Especially after the fake accusation of being Ahmedi hurled against Shaukat Aziz by Musharraf's opponents, and rumours that Mr Aziz's wife was and American and that he thus was an American agent , I am very sceptical of labels applied to Musharraf and his supporters by their opponents.
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
maddie, do u live in Pakistan? NO... right.. so shut yer pie hole cuz u dunno jack..err javed
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!
Aalsi, as someone else stated in Pakistan (I am sure the same is the case in India) rumors and gossip trump facts. People making such cheap allegations can usually never back them up with facts whereever they live. This is something I posted about when people were going around saying our Prime Minister had a powerful American Jewish wife.
This from the Nation newspaper back in 2004 when Mr Aziz was about to become PM:-
His spouse, Mrs. Gloria Cohen Aziz is a wealthy, well connected socialite with an interest in many private firms of consultants as well as security contractors for the US government. These contractors and consultants have worked in Afghanistan since 1977; they have also worked in Pakistan, in Russia not to mention Iraq. She has travelled to Pakistan regularly to case the joint, as the Americans say, with the State Department spouse of a well known former US Ambassador to Pakistan who oversaw the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. The Americans are so keen to see her installed in Pakistan that they have left Iraq two days early to facilitate her entry into the country-an indication of the importance of the job she, not any PM is expected to do in Pakistan. Her arrival at the Prime Minister’s house in Pakistan should be a slap in the face of all those Muslims who have been horrified and disgusted by the humiliation and torture of Muslim prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, in Iraq, in Afghanistan and the hate crimes against Muslim citizens of the United States.
Shaukat Aziz showed great maturity when he did not dignify this with a reply, as the world over know what the actual truth is. :k: But Ikhram Seghal sent the shameless Nation newspaper an email that reads as follows:-
*Gloriously wrong *
Kindly refer to Shahwar Junaid’s article “the ultimate deal”. While deferring to the learned writer’s opinion, to each his (or her) own, some pertinent facts are “gloriously” wrong. Shaukat’s wife is not “Gloria Cohen” but “Rukhsana” and unlike the mythical “Gloria Cohen”, an invention of a really imaginative mind, Rukhsana is anything but a businessperson. Daughter of one of our finest civil servants, SS Iqbal Hussain, now retired, Rukhsana is a fine, upright person who is a low-key personality without any ego whatsoever, the perfect example of what a Pakistani housewife should be like. What to talk of Shaukat, all of Shaukat’s friends are proud of the exemplary manner she conducts herself. I think we owe it to our readers to at least get our record straight.

Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!
Its actually a ‘GEO’ interview that aired on Prime, not PTV, so there you go, got any answers now?
Also, I have lived in Pakistan for 20+ years, and quite frankly, I am much more well versed in Pakistan Studies then you ever will be, and I had a distinction in Olevels Pakistan Studies, so now lets see how you can match up to that with your ‘jiyala-ism’. You just ‘recently’ moved to Pakistan and think youre some kind of ‘king pin of knowledge’ there. Well, dude, its not like we are living in holes here, despite growing up in Pakistan and living there for 20+ years, we go back quite frequently and have friends family there.
So yeah also, how would living in Pakistan make me aware of Musharrafs womanizing? I mean its not like hes out there in the streets looking for sweethearts? Seriously, your reasonings are nothing but a joke. In every single thread, all you do is come and tell us how bad the army and the general is, and anyone talking sensibly, you accuse them of being ‘expats who know nothing because they dont live in Pakistan’, tsk tsk. Did you know the best book on Jinnah was written by a non-Pakistani (ABROAD), who never even met him? Now explain to me how he did that? Seriously, you should go back to school and get some education as to how you are supposed to carry out an argument, and also to realize that you never make any sense, and post the same silly stuff (which is always proven wrong) again and again.
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
And yeah, unless you can even post a single link about musharraf's womanzing, you should issue an apology for meaningless libel.
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
lol I could say so much in this thread..ah well, continue
Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!

Re: MNA wants alcohol ban lifted - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!
Btw, my impulsive reply to TRD’s post would have been;
kindly post link and reference ![]()
But whats the point, there’s obviously no reference in this case, but I wonder, am I in Pakistan right now?..![]()
