Malik thanks for your input. i do agree with you that naming the province is not a priority and attention should be paid to development of the area. But i think renaming the province shouldn't be ignored any longer. Hindko speaking brothers and sisters should definitely be listened to when it comes to renaming the province. i advocate a name acceptable to all.
Name of the existing province is Sir-hud. Pretty good I dare say. It has been acceptable to everyone inclduing Hindko speakers for 96 (that is 9 dacades and 6 years).

we seem to be quite defensive here. I believe that the name SARHAD(frontier/ border) isn't a proper name. Its a shameful name given to our great area with strong traditions and values. Well i can't stress any more that this ridiculous name needs to go. what the heck is sooba sarhad?? This is not a proper name this is just the description of the location of this region on the map of Pakistan. This nameless name of the province has been there for 96 years because of some cunning britts and we still want to continue to live in a NAMELESS province?? anyways i believe u r non serious and what i get from your comments is just a waste of my time. You continue to make fun of the name Sooba Sarhad. What's wrong with a name that is very similar to Sooba Punjab, Sooba Sindh, and Sooba Balochistan.

Please, it sounds too hinduistic. Although I myself am a Hindko, I wont support it, even if our Hindkos get together for a name change, coz I dont want to rename it, it is lovely, as brother 5abi says. I just want a better future for every citizen inside Pakistan, not friggin name changes, they dont bring about anything.
