Good question. Its in Atlanta at a place called Jr. National historic site.

I am taking my boys to participate in Day of Dignity, where a mosque in our Downtown area that is pretty much all African American serves meals to the homeless. We also pass out hygiene packs (toothbrush, deodorant etc,) along with socks and other basic items. They do it twice a year, once on MLK Day
and then later on late summer/early fall.
My Interfaith group is also representing at a community MLK Day event at our local high school in the evening.

Considering the draconian laws wrt Crack cocaine that adversely adlffect African Americans, the high incarceration rates against AAs, the killings at the hands of law enforcement, inability to vote once convicted of a crime, our time woukd be well spent ensuring we elect decent politicians all the way from local to state to national seats.
Write to you congressman and senator re these issues. Stand with BLM.

KKF, are you around the Atlanta area? I would assume a remembrance is held at or near the gravesite. Maybe you could check it out =)

Not even in US its available to all! For example, we get Columbus day off here in IL vs. MLK. So plans are to trave to Colorado for a conference :)

I have so many responsibilities I cant sleep, had to walk the poor pup also. Her paws freeze and then she starts hopping on 3s to give one a reprieve. The other day it was -45 with wind chill.
