miyaan gizzy...

so i was moving, i dropped the project (u knowwww… the system long awaited) to local pc store and asked them to build it for me… brought it home, didnt worked.. took it back… they fully tested and said…mb+ram isnt working..(spike)

soooo… will take hopefully a week now… i wont have paints+uv lighting in it… but i will get it fully functioning soon…

can’t wait man  air flow is AMAZING… and normal lighting looks GOOD! only thing i would have to wait is raid array.. THAT unfortunately i have to setup…

Re: miyaan gizzy…

oh man, how did that happen to the mb+ram? did the shop ppl do it? Seems impossible to me, unless it was dead at arrival. I am saying this coz I never saw anything like this before, I mean they assemble the whole thing and give it to you without testing?? What kinda techie is that. :nook:

Khair, wish you all the best with fixing it and then waiting for the pics of the finished system.

Waisay, in the mean time I have done some very mean Water cooling systems.. I will post pics soon.

Re: miyaan gizzy…

i cant afford watercooling (in terms of mental stamina required)… i wanna get this moving, papers, key, mortgage setup, local utilities bill, wireless network, security, signal strength, my bed+frame, coal+flavours running out, and girlfriend loving too much things settled as soon as possible… :frowning:

though it wont be looking AS COOL as i wanted it to be, but still.. airflow was PRETTY tight!:k:

no what happend was that they’re saying it worked fine.. and since i asked them to see if it goes through POST, and then call me, they said it did.. now what i believe is that when i hooked this pc in, it wasnt on surge supressor/ups unit.. (i’m still not unpacked yet)

luckily it only blewed my memory and motherboard.. mb is in warrenty.. but will take 2-6 weeks.. i’m not stingy on that.. so i’m getting motherboard replacement, perfect match (P5GD1), and ram i’m getting single chip this time.. lets see what happens.. luckily the video card (coughs..ahemmm:D) is working :k: (system on one side, ahemm.. u know.. video card on the other:D)

anyway, finally case would be housing two liquid spinning heaviest seagate 160gigs on sata-raid(striping) gig ram, and 775processor (3.2) fan is on the proc, one forward fan, two fans in back, powersupply’s fan and a 120mm fan on sidemount (glass/hard plastic). except the front fan, every fan (including see-through power supply) is LED..

since they’ll be doing motherboard change, my efforts in painting it gone useless.. that was GOOD 3 hrs trashed.. (i actually used masking tape, gave different colors to capacitors top, pci/pci-e slots, heatsinks, and color coded the chips). oh well… :bummer:

Re: miyaan gizzy…

[update] so yeah… i called today.. (just to check up..u know how my babe’z doing n all) and the tech picked up.. i introduced, and he laughed, and said.. boss is out, looking for another mb.. and i’m like dude! what happend to the 2nd one u were gonna put in? he giggled, said faiz u’r system’s cursed yo! we put it in, and poof! it blew that one .. :hehe:

so.. :whistling 99 bottles of beer on the wall.. :rotfl: i’m now not free till monday.. so.. lets see what pops in..

Re: miyaan gizzy…

HOLY$HIT!

i wanted to check ‘feeling’ speed of the atmosphere, so setup xp (got home this time), 25 minutes, bang! installed and working.. (i didnt used sound, network, serial, parallel or usb ports)

after that, i had that  grin, i put both sata drives on, defined the array as 0, and moment i gave the xp the raid disk driver(f6), system started FLYINGGG!!!

i mean, i’m talking anarchy :hehe: anyway… i got excited and started installing every driver… go SO excited that i gave the wrong inf update… i just saw the asus cd and ran basically.. :rotfl: ..

anyway, system is now installed on two seagates 120 liquids, (sata) as stripe-array, gig of ram, thanks to gizzy, on asus p5gd1 motherboard (which btw, is KICKIN ASS!) hyper threading p4-3.0g, and last, again gizzy’s recommendation, nvidia geforce 6800tnt ultra…

sacrficied powersupply, and got it replaced, same with memory… it fried the two motherboards local store put in, but they were under warrenty of asus, (and they are extremely well in RMA# generating and taking care of complaints) so i end up paying only for memory and powersupply.. guy slashed labour cost since i paid him once in the start last month..

geforce 6800 is pci-express, and is sucking a lot of power, i’m thinking of moving the computer table’s location over the ac duct.. (i still have to post my house and room’s pics) cuz otherwise it will just be dangerous.. system has front 80mm fan, 120mm sidefan, and two backfans, powersupply has its own fan (standard issue) yet its still giving off a lot of heat.. or maybe cuz i’m kinda paranoid rite now
