ok I just placed another order right now... $9 for delivery for 14lbs of sweets! Its going to be here tommorow before 5pm, gauranteed!
but i never had a choice for ground delivery! guess from chicago 2 texas u’ll need air but still, so un fair.
this mithai better taste like munsalwa.

I think they are just lazy bums.
If I can hide 2 kilo mithai from Tahoora in my luggage and fly it all the way from Chicago to Sydney and be able to sneak it out of customs even though we have strict laws about bringing no food into Australia. Then Tahoora can ship their Mithais all over the world

Ive ordered these before, and they're good
gulab jamans (regulars)
gulab jamans with cream
kaala jamuns
kaala jamuns with cream
barfi (normal)
choclate sandwich barfi (excellent-o)
i also ordered some namkeen stuff this time, lets see how it goes.
They are slowly and gradually progressing. I remember the days when their shop was just a tiny corner shop on Devon Street. One day they might come to your country and town.
They have started marketing their Namkeen/Salty stuff , like chewra , daal moth etc under their brand name Tahoora . It is available at many desi stores all over America.

Since I lived in Chicago long enough so I have tried everything and it is all good. We frequented their shop for chana poori on week ends. I have a good story to share.
Once we bought some mithai paid them with debit card. And then decided to get a couple of cups of chai. At that time they did not accept Credit or Debit cards for less than 10 dollars order so I told them that I do not have cash to pay for chai , they told me not to worry and pay on the next visit. I become a fan of those guys.
On the other hand I was made to go to an ATM to withdraw cash to pay , at some other desi stores, in those kind of situations

okeyyyyyyyyy enough of mithai :) i don't like sweet so much,....but i m goin to order it right nowwwwww for my hubby as he loves meetha.
tahoora sweets are grt., but i missed ambala sweet :( habshi halwa :(

I like King Sweet's mithai more than i like tahoora's. There's is more pakistani style than india, especially the ras gullas are to DIE for. Also their samosas are really good too.

They still dont accept cards for less than $10... But yeah, they're nice people. I go there maybe once or twice every month, and they've never disappointed me.

I ordered yesterday (thursday) and got it friday morning, at 8:30am! The boxes were very nicely packaged too! I took a pic of some of the ones inside, using my cell phone!

adr come have some as I think I ordered way too much lol!!! My coworkers (all gora) tried some black gulab jamans and loved it!
Does anyone know if we're supposed to keep gulab jamans in the fridge or not? I know the barfi will harden in the fridge so that stays out...

YOu can keep the jamans out just make sure you cover them properly warna all that sugar is going to invite roaches and ants.

thanks! and how long can i keep 'em, before they go bad? if they do go bad i can always feed them to my single dost who have no clue what they eat.
there arent any ants here, and honestly ive never seen roaches prolly cuz it snows in the winter time...
Their kulfi is to die for! besan ladoos are excellent too.
they ship those too! for free, via UPS overnight, but u have to order a minimum of 25! I was sooo tempted!

Make sure you go early enough! They dont serve it all day!
